No problem Amos I consulted the man gdb ;) and I also tried "run" in the gdb console but there is still the "No stack" message ...?

Sorry my fault. gdb --args squid -NCXd9 ..... (gdb) run "bt" is after the crash to display. -- Please be using Current Stable Squid 2.7.STABLE6 or 3.0.STABLE16 Current Beta Squid 3.1.0.10 or 3.1.0.11
