Hi Amos,

After I set the "memory_cache_shared off" in the config file of the squid
, after I disable the memory_cache_shared , squid not crash, but we need
shared memory caching, any fix for this problem.

Okay, did you find any other details about it? if you did please check bugzilla to see if there is any known bugs mentioning those details. Since it seems to be related to a new feature in the beta, please followup in squid-dev mailing list now so the dev who are workign on that feature can see your report (though given the holidays right now, it may be a while).

Thanks.

why squid 3.2.0.14 exited/restarted every 2 or 3 or 4 ... hours and
why squid crashing with segfault.
Question: "why squid 3.2.0.14 exited/restarted" ?
Answer: because of "crashing with segfault".

Squid auto-restarts after any unexpected crash from assertion, segfault,
and exceptions.

Better question: "why squid crashing with segfault" ?
Answer: unknown. insufficient details given.

What does cache.log have to say about it?
Can you find the core dump the system should have created?
(see
http://wiki.squid-cache.org/SquidFaq/BugReporting#crashes_and_core_dumps)

PS. when you find out please check bugs.squid-cache.org for any bug
matching the crash details. Report a new bug if you can meet the
criteria in that wiki page. or contact squid-dev mailing list about the
problem (3.2 being a beta release the dev need to know what is wrong,
this is an admin users list).
