Thx for the feedback & ideas! I realize 11.04 is old and in fact I was going to EoL this server since it is old yet then I figured I would keep it around to use as a Squid Proxy Test box. I did not think that being on 11.04 could be the problem all together!
I have other U 12.04.2 servers yet sounds like you had problems with that too huh? I do not have any U 13 servers yet. All of a sudden what should have been a quick half day project is stretching out too long . . . And yes I tried the AD Adjustments you pointed me to, that was one of the first things I found/tried last week w/o luck. Well I guess I will have to think about building a U13 test server and stop spinning my wheels with U 11.04 or 12.04 for that matter . . . Never would have thought a lil standalone helper program (basic_ldap_auth) would be so finicky . . . Thx!
