in the documentation i read that i have to use version 2.x - i use them.
Althoug in the docs is written to use 2.x , i will try 3.2.9 ...

i already did so as you can read in the following section of my email:

| he says that the db-files are empty. If I remove the .db files I had
created with
| "$ squidGuard -C all" squidGuard should use the plain text files
("domains"...),
| but i even get a blank line as output again when i try to do the
command i did in
| order to block sex.de. The logfile now says the following:
|
| | 2003-03-27 16:03:01 [1756] init domainlist
/usr/local/squidGuard/db/porn/domains
| | 2003-03-27 16:03:01 [1756] init urllist
/usr/local/squidGuard/db/porn/urls
| | 2003-03-27 16:03:01 [1756] init expressionlist
/usr/local/squidGuard/db/porn/expressions
| | 2003-03-27 16:03:01 [1756] squidGuard 1.2.0 started
(1048777381.440)
| | 2003-03-27 16:03:01 [1756] squidGuard ready for requests
(1048777381.666)
| | 2003-03-27 16:03:01 [1756] squidGuard stopped (1048777381.667)
|
| it seems that it works well, but it doesn't. squidGuard doesn't refer
me to
| www.gymroe.de as i expect, so it does NOT block.

Thank you for help.

bye, Dani
