apostrophes

Is there any way to include an apostrophe in the redirect line?  I've tried 
everything i can think of, even what's listed elsewhere in the docs for 
including odd characters.  I'd really like to send everything to a url that 
has them, but squidguard goes into emergency mode when it sees one.  thanks
