We have a system set up that generates the squidGuard.conf automaticaly with different time constraints for different sources.

We have a file that contains the start of the configuration files

An automatically generated set of time constraints

And a file that contains all the rest of the config ( src, dst, acl )

This works fine most of the time, but occasionally squidGuard fails to start and has an error like

src group lo is not defines

or

src group local is not defined

or

src group is not defined

I can't work out why it does this, if i add a dummy group in then it usually starts up ok.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

Robin
