I guess you're using blacklists as text files. You _must_
generate databases to speed up filtering.

You can do it this way: nice -n19 squidGuard -C all

The 'nice -n19' part is to give the database construction
process the lowest priority in your server.

After the databases have been created - in the same directories
of the text files - you'll need to reload squid.

For the first try, don't use regular expressions filtering; only
domains and urls. They consume a lot of CPU cycles.
