Everything is now OK. Squidguard logs correctly and squid redirects every request to it. The problem came from acls and blacklists :
I had syntax problems in the squidguard.conf file which made squiidguard go in emergency mode. Some of the blacklists were not owned by the correct user, that is squid. So I did a :chown -R squid.squid /usr/local/squidguard/blacklists/ Thanks for all your answers !! However I find the filtering less effective than the Dansguardian for example. To make the filtering more precise I've added expressions but I find the filtering VERY slow. How can I speed that up ?. In squidGuard you can specify a web page on where squidGuard goes in order to inform the user that his request has been blocked. But mine (my information page) is located on another machine. Would you guys recommend putting the web page on the proxy itself ?. /Hitete.
