Hi,

i've a question about what information passes squid to squidguard.

We are using:
- - Debian 3.0 / 2.2.20-Kernel
- - Squid 2.4STABLE6 with pam_auth
- - SquidGuard 1.2.0

We have:
- - a Pentium II 400MHz with 256MB RAM and SCSI-Devices
- - 100 MBit LAN
- - DSL-Connection to the internet
- - 20 user
- - some automated processes using a 'supervisor-account' on the proxy.

Normally everthing works fine, but sometimes - rarely - the
authentication fails for some user.
We increased the number of authentication processes in the
squid.conf, to solve this problem
(now 10 authenticate_children, former 5)

When the authentication fails, We find these lines in the
squidguard.log:
2002-11-12 10:59:59 [6329] error parsing squid line: host:
2002-11-12 10:59:59 [6329] error parsing squid line:
proxy-connection:
2002-11-12 10:59:59 [6329] error parsing squid line:

It seems that Squid passes empty values to squidguard, if
authentication fails. But
normally the access should be denied.

Has anybody an idea/solutions/tip ??

Thanks
Dirk
