Ok, first I would like to say thanks to all those that replied to my email about the parsing and logging of all requests. I personally didnt know that squid itself had an access.log file. ( stupid me ) Ok, so I wrote a parser for that file and I was going to make an entry in syslog.conf to roll over the log file, but then I read that someone parses the log before it gets turned over. I was alittle confused by that statement. Does squid turn its own log file over? or Are you having it turned over by some other sys utility?
