Hi again,

*slaps forehead in dispair at forgetfullnes*

OK... there were some other questions that I forgot to answer...

pop3 and pop3s and imap and imaps. These are the secure and unsecure
versions of the various servers (s denoting the secure version), hence the
reasons why they have different settings.

thought I had on the SMTP issue is that the SMTP server has probably got
relaying disabled for anything but localhost. Therefore when you send
using SM it is fine as it is sending using localhost as the SMTP server,
but from another machine it is not sending from the local machine. I
would suggest taking a look at the configuration of the smtp server, but
be careful not to open up the smtp server for relaying of all domains/ip
addresses otherwise you will run into abuse from spammers.

Again, I hope that this has been of use... no doubt I will close this
email and think of something else I was going to say :)

*the worlds most forgetful... ermmmm*

p.s. as for using OE for a mail client... I am with you on that one ;)
