We had a whole load of issues relating to sessions in 1.2.9 and 1.2.10, which were fixed in 1.2.11[cvs]. If you want to use the stable release, use CVS to grab a copy of the 1.2.11[cvs] version and see if that works. We are currently working on the stable release of 1.4, which is also available via CVS.
