I'm testing SM 2.1.10 and get the following error:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to
allocate 35 bytes) in /usr/share/pear/PEAR.php on line 505
Installed Plugins
1. squirrelspell
2. vlogin
The file is 2.2M I thought that there was a method of dealing with large
message other than blowing up.
OS is debian stable.
Base SM is from the .deb file from the SM site with the
CVI patches applied to read_body.php only
Any ideas?
