As i understand it "yes". It works for me..
( at least in the plugin that follows the 1.2.10 package )
The default is "leave mail on server"

This is however also depending on the POP-mail server.

If you are using your own you set the policy.

Is you are using your ISP's POP-mail server you probably
should check with them if they allow "leave mail on server".
I.e. they might have a policy that downloaded mail always is
removed from the mail server. ( if you are a ISP and have 10M
accounts there is no way in heaven to keep all mail that is left
on the mail servers... I know.. I used to work for one.. )

They might also have special access procedures to allow you to use
"leave mail on server"
