I'm trying to install an LDAP address book into squirrelmail. I've compiled and
installed PHP 4.3.0 with ldap (./configure --with-ldap).
My problem is that squirrelmail does not seem to be hitting slapd at all. I've
checked this both with a packet sniffer and by running slapd in debug mode. When I
try and hit the database with outlook on a diffferent computer slapd at least reports
that it is doing something. Therefore, I am tending toward the belief that the
problem lies either in squirrelmail or ldap. I am running the 1.4rc1 version of
squirrel mail. The odd thing is, despite the fact that it doesn't seem to be hitting
the database in any way shape or form, there are no errors being generated.
Is there any way to get more information into the list regarding this problem? I'm at
a dead end as far as troubleshooting is concerned.
The next question I have is, once this is set up, what schema does squirrelmail want
in order to search the lists? I basically just need it to server up user names and
email addresses.
