Looking at it now, I see that this was only part of the patch. Hmmm I
don't know why that happened, and I'll need to dig through my email to get
what I had really meant to send. This is *definitely* a way to solve your
problem, the only drawback is that it means your users have to know what
Exchange server they are on. I will do my best to get you the correct
stuff by the end of tomorrow.

You also might want to try asking on this or the plugins list again for
help from people who work with Exchange - I've not had any experience in
that arena, so can't be of much assistance, but read on...

Yes, vlogin is primarily for use when you want to use the URL to parse out
the host name, BUT you can also turn that functionality off (see
$dontUseHostName and related settings) and use the other functionality it
offers -- in your case, it sounds like the only thing it can do for you
is: you can create a users.dat (name it what you will) file with per-user
settings, which would be good in that you can automatically map usernames
to their imap servers without them needing to know that kind of info, but
bad in that it's a file you have to maintain outside of all your other
email systems (not a pretty solution).

If that is feasable, I can definitely help make sure you get the other
settings as needed - just let me know.

Otherwise, I'll dig up (er, hopefully) the other plugin. If, by chance, I
can't find it, just give me a day and I can write another one myself
without much trouble.

Hopefully one of these solutions will work for you(?). But again, it
seems to me that there are other folks who have SM working with Exchange,
so you might try asking around...

Cheers,

   paul
