Thanks for the accolades!

There is no functionality like that in vlogin now... I never personally
bothered with the look and feel of the login page and wasn't really
aware that it could be changed.  If there is a way to do that using any
regular SM settings, then they surely could be adapted to vlogin.  I
suppose the easy thing might be to allow the setting of the $colors
array from vlogin, although there would be a question of whether or not
it should stay beyond the login page.  Hmmm.  Is that what you're after?
