[SM-USERS] Getting addresses from an MS SQL DB

Has anyone managed a setup to permit accessing email addresses from an MS SQL 7 DB, using the Addresses button in Compose? Writing the PHP mssql_connect and getting results isn't too hard (I'm a php novice) but I cannot see how to make the results available via the Compose window etc., even after reading through the addressbook.php code, etc.

We're using SM 1.2.9, W2000, IIS5, accessing an Exchange Server 5.5, but I'd also like to be able to set it up on Redhat 8 on another box.
