  That is a 'bug' (or 'feature' as the UW team put it) in UW IMAP.
  Check the documentation for UW IMAP on how to 'fix' that issue. It
  isn't a problem with SquirrelMail at all. How are they going to see
  there mail if you turn off their INBOX?
