Hi all...

I'm experiencing what can best be described as an annoyance in a test
installation of SquirrelMail 1.4.0-rc2a. Before I get to the issue, here
are the system details:

OS: FreeBSD 4.6-stable
IMAP: IMAP4rev1 v12.264-p2k (UW version, as I understand it)
Browser: IE 6.0.2800.1106
SQM: 1.4.0-rc2a / No plugins installed. This installation is very plain,
as I am merely using it to play around with the new version.

My issue involves how SQM 1.4.0 handles the two types of folders generated
by a UW IMAP installation. (Quoting from the conf.pl script, "...some IMAP
servers (UW) make it so that there are two types of folders. Those that
contain messages, and those that contain subfolders.") Basically, SQM
1.4.0 appears to treat all folders as equals when it comes to unread
message notification. In conjunction with a significant amount of procmail
filtering, I have several layers of embedded IMAP folders. SQM 1.4.0
properly interprets folders containing messages, but for folders
containing other folders, the mailer displays "Not Available" where the
number of unseen messages would normally be displayed. A screenshot is
posted at "http://www.zach.thom.as/sqm_screen_capture.jpg";. This "Not
Available" message did not appear in 1.2.x.

Again, this problem is just annoying and does not appear to impact
functionality in any way. Anyone have a workaround for this? Are the
developers aware of this?

Best wishes...

Zach
