What Distribution are you using? imapd is probably UW-IMAP, I believe
others have more resonable names related to the program. If it is
UW-IMAP, you need to edit the (x)inet.d files and make sure it's
allowed to start. If not, change it, restart (x)inet.d, and test
again.
