Could be that you experienced what I have:

Bug within IIS and the current implementation for headers in squirrelmail.
Look for keywords like header, solved, iis in this mailing list. I've post
the solution for it (very easy).

Hope that helps,
Ruben

Subject: [SM-USERS] Debugging SM 1.4.1

I have a working SM 1.2 site that only has a problem opening attachments. I
decided to install another site using SM 1.4.0 but could not get it to logon
to the IMAP server. I've downloaded 1.4.1 into the new directory but still
cannot get it to logon to the IMAP server.

The version of PHP is 4.3.2-RC1 on NT and IIS. Is there any way to see why
Squirrelmail is returning an invalid username and password?
