Okay, with further testing I have found if I unsubscribe and then
subscribe to a folder created with 'Let this folder contain
subfolders', then I can delete it without any problems.
Likewise, when renaming these type of folders:
If I unsubscribe from the original folder (it completely disappears
e.g. it does not appear in the subscribe list. The new named folder
has already appeared in the subscribe list with the new name) and then
subscribe to the renamed one, I can then delete it without any
problems.

I can live with this as I am careful when creating my folder structure
and will rarely have to delete or rename them. Some of my younger
users will have problems though :(

Can someone please confirm this is a problem with Mercury32?
If so I will then email the Mercury lists and groups to see if there
is an intended fix for it. Not sure how keen the Mercury developer/s
will be though about this. They are currently working on a webmail
interface for Mercury that is expected to be ready later this year
(though most Mercury upgrades end up being later than first expected).
