This isn't a SquirrelMail issue. This has something to do with the way
php is being run. It looks like PHP is trying to parse itself, and
clearly failing at it. Somebody posted about this the other day, but
I don't know how to properly setup cgi-php so I cannot point out how
to fix the issue.
