You mention the load average, but don't mention exactly what process(es) are causing the heavy load. Have you examined your process list when the heavy load hits? Perhaps you have something intensive running out of cron. Is it always at the same time of day? Is there a pattern? Is it the webserver (and therefore, possibly PHP)? Is it the IMAP server? > We have only 200 people using this at the moment and was thinking on > splitting the processes alittle by moving the scripts and files to another > server and just let this one handle mail but we are not sure if squirrel > mail handles this type of setup. Sure. Just configure squirrelmail to contact the IMAP server of your choice. (Use conf.pl) Then, of course, network load may become an issue, as may the need for TLS to prevent sniffing passwords... -- Chris Hilts [EMAIL PROTECTED] ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Welcome to geek heaven. http://thinkgeek.com/sf -- squirrelmail-users mailing list List Address: [EMAIL PROTECTED] List Archives: http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php?forum_id)95 List Info: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/squirrelmail-users
