I used to have squirrelmail here on my computer at work and able to use it to interact with our exchange servers. A couple months ago after a software upgrade i cant get it to work anymore. I get the error about not able to open default_prefs. I have been trouble shooting this problem like i had something setup wrong on my computer. Well today i installed courier-imap here at work and told squirrelmail to use it. I was able to login just fine. This got me to thinking that possibly this is a problem with my login name for our exchange servers. Currently it is set to "domainname/username/firstname.lastname". This is the only way to access our servers via imap or pop. Could the slashes and/or period be messing up something so that it cannot create the pref file for this username? Any ideas? I hate exchange and everything about it. I hate the programs i am given to access it with and would much rather use squirrelmail for this. Any help would be appreciated.
