I would assume this is simply a DNS issue you are having since it references "name resolution". Every OS is different but if your using a *NIX flavor you might want to start with /etc/resolv.conf and make sure the proper DNS servers are specified and your hostname resolves to your IP. Another thing to note. Mail servers SHOULD NOT be run on dynamic IP addresses!!! Many ISP/corporation's will submit dynamic IP's for automatic blocks to various RBL's. The other draw back you will encounter is the hostname of your system will never match the IP's DNS as you will never know at a given moment what IP you are on.
