How do I figure out what to put for base?

Use the LDAP setup in conf.pl to connect to the LDAP services in ES.  If
you haven't enabled LDAP under Protocols in ES you'll need to do so,
needless to say. Let me know if you need an example of the config.php
entry. Works a charm.
