I found the link in the left_main.php.
Can I just change the text. It already has a comment saying it will be
"Check mail" in 1.4.3:
echo '<small>(<a href="../src/left_main.php" target="left">'.
_("refresh folder list") . '</a>)</small></center><br />';
// for SM 1.4.3: _("Check mail")
Any problem changing it here now?
