Unfortunately no matter how many times I try what you suggest above, I am still seeing the white background with black text, which is the default. Where have you tried stripping the formatting from? Which files have you modified? Are you running any kind of gateways that run proxy servers? Have you looked at the output source code that you get in your browsers? If so, is it showing as black (#000000) in that code? Have you tried clearing your browsers cache? Have you tested from another browser?
