All,
I have been running squirrelmail using apache 1.3.26, mod_php4 ( php
version 4.1.1 ) and mysql 3.23 with no issues for approximately a
year.
Apache, mod_php4 and mysql were installed using the freebsd ports
collection. All of the ports and there dependencies were recently
upgarded to there newest versions, php was upgraded to 4.3.4, apache
to 1.3.29, and mysql to 3.23.58. Since I upgraded the ports collection
I am no longer able too pull my userprefs and addresses via mysql.
When I take the mysql statement out of my config.php file I am able to
log into squirrelmail and it functions as normal.
I have verified usernames / passwords, mysql tables, mysql port, and my
config.php file. I have googled and found very little on this issue. Has
anyone else ran into this issue and if so what was the fix ???.
The exact error that I am getting is:
Preference database error (not found). Exiting abnormally
Thanks,
Scott
