Just my opinion is that your reply sounded harsh. But I beleive that you
were trying to get some more information out of the poster of the
question.

As I'm having the same issue as he is, I will provide more ifno, in hopes
that someone can help.

Current Environment:
RedHat 9 (with default Apache and PHP for this version of RedHat)
Squirrelmail 1.4.2
MySQL used for preferences and addressbook (personnel and global)

When I try to spell check I get a pop-up window with the following error:

spelling it give us error "I tried to execute 'ispell -a', but it
   returned:"

I checked to see if ipsell was installed, and found ispell was a link to
aspell. The man pages for aspell state that it uses the same options as
ispell to be compatable.

Checking out the ispell WWW site, it outlines the differences with ispell
and aspell. Aspell has a better alogrithm when it comes to checking
English. Which is what I want.

So I guess the question is, is there a way to get this pluging to work
with aspell and/or is there a aspell version of the squirellspell plugin
out there?

Any and all help is much appreciated.
