After installing SM and configuring it, when logging in, I get the following
error:

Error opening ../data/default_pref
Could not create initial preference file!
(path to data dir)/sqmdata/ should be writable by user nobody
Please contact your system administrator and report this error.

I have used the chown and chgrp commands as specified in the install doc,
and confirmed that Apache is running as "nobody."

Any suggestions?

Why is SM referring to "../data/default_pref" even though based on the rest
of the error message, it "knows" where the data directory is?

Running FreeBSD unix, SM 1.4.2

Thanks.

Ed
