Hi All !
I have an SMTP(sendmail) and IMAP(imapd) server
running on a Fedora Core 1 Linux machine (mail server)
which authenticates using NIS on some other machine. I
have installed squirrelmail on the same server.

Now the scenario is such that there is no user
accounts on the mail sever nor is there any /home/user
folders.
When I log on using SM the authentication is done
properly but there's an error when SM tries to create
INBOX.blah folders:

ERROR : Could not complete request.
Query: CREATE "INBOX.Sent"
Reason Given: CREATE failed: Can't create mailbox node
/INBOX.Sent: Permission denied

Is there any solution to get around this problem ?

Does SM try to create /home/user also or it just
creates INBOX.Sent and so on ?

If SM creates /home/user if it does not exist, then
probably there's some permissions problem ... What
permissions should i give to /home directory ?

If SM only creates INBOX.blah folders assuming
/home/user exists then how to make it create the
/home/user folders as soon as authentication is
successful ?

I looked into the conf.pl configuration script under
Folders management ... i cant figure out what it
means.

Somebody please help !
All help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
