I have only the following submenues in Folder Preferences:

Special Folder Options
Folder List Options
Folder Selection Options

there is no
Folder Sorting Options
submenu.

This is normal?
I'm using 1.4.1 on Mandrake 9.2

I think I have an easy question. In my SM the newest mails are in the
bottom of the page. If I open a directory the start page shows the
oldest mail's page, so I have to switch page to see my new mails. How
can I change this?

Options > Folder Preferences > Folder Sorting Options

Default sort_order: select "Date (descending)"

If you have "Enable per-folder sorting" and have Default sort_order set to
something other than what you want for this particular folder, open that
folder and click the icon next to the "Date" heading.
