I've got local Linux users on my server (localhost.localdomain). Where I'm
getting stuck.confused are the steps to create user accounts for their own
domains eg: domain1.com and domain2.com, so I can then use SM to login in
the way you describe.

How did you create user for domain1.com and user for domain2.com - I assume
these are "virtual" users?

Do your users access their email using domain1.com/webmail/ and
domain2.com/webmail? Then, they enter their user name as [EMAIL PROTECTED]
etc in SM?

Many thanks for the help.

Forgive me if I'm missing something, but are your users' mail accounts all
on your server? If so, then it's the same situation I have.

My users can all have mail addresses at their own domains, but can all
retrieve mail via the same SM installation. They just each login with the
full address, e.g. "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" or "[EMAIL PROTECTED]", etc.
