I've only been trying SquirrelMail for 4 days but I love it. Beats Aeromail hands down.
I've run into a small problem, more an annoyance, with the "Folders - Unsubscribe/Subscribe" menu. Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 13632032 bytes exhausted at (null):0 (tried to allocate 4097 bytes) in /usr/share/squirrelmail/functions/imap_general.php on line 183 I've had this error on version 1.2.6, 1.4.?, and now 1.5.0+. The only change was the line number from version to version due to code additions. I run Debian Woody and all other options and plugins seem fine. (Loaded about 20 of them.) Version 1.5.0+ I put in place by replacing the 1.4.2 and rewriting some of the code when I had an error. I've tried upping the memory in php.ini from 8M to 10, 20, 80. They all just time out, no mater how much time I give it. This only happens to two user accounts out of 5, both are mine under different aliases. =c) I happen to have the most email folders, the most files in my home directory, and the most email messages. The other accounts all work fine and show the "Folders - Unsubscribe/Subscribe" menu correctly with both the right and left windows working. I suspect this is a folder issue since one account has 12M of emails and the other was over 300M. Both have over 11 folders at this time. Any ideas on how to resolve this is appreciated.
