Do you see a significant performance hit when you use secure login
for a huge user base SM domain? I have added the secure login plugin
and have the users session remain in SSL for the entire duration, thanks.

If you take a performance hit, it's got nothing to do with the plugin. It has everything to do with your server setup, for which you include no details. Typically SSL connections require more overhead and are thus *slightly* slower, but not so much that it should be noticeable. If it is, start looking at your SSL implementation in your web server (considerably off topic for this list).
