We're using Squirrelmail 1.4.3a with the QuickSave 2.3 plugin. Several end-users are experiencing problems restoring a QuickSave that contains special characters, such as the em dash, en dash, and trademark characters. When a message is restored, all of the text after the special character is missing; the QuickSave cookie does not contain any text after the character. If the account holder uses the Save Draft feature, the special character is maintained. This seems like a bug. Any ideas?
Sounds like a bug in the javascript encryption. Advise the users to try another level of encryption or just turn it off entirely.
