Hello Tomas, Thanks a lot for your reply!

Actually I fetched those localization modules from CVS right after my post to this list. I followed the instructions I found from wiki: <http://www.squirrelmail.org/wiki/en_US/SupportingMultipleLanguages>. Actually I've got my Help-page now in Finnish, but the rest of SM translations are still in English. There was one point I didn't understand in the instructions: "-- NOTE: I had to set my default locale to "none" for consistent work. --". What does it mean and where should I define it? a) config/config.php: $squirrelmail_default_language-variable? b) functions/i18n.php: $languages['fi_FI']['LOCALE']-variable? c) elsewhere? I got some pointers from blokes that have translated SM to Finnish. Here are some issues that were raised up. * I don't have a locale called fi_FI in my OpenBSD system (I use sv locale by myself). Please see the following: $ ls -l /usr/share/locale total 60 drwxr-xr-x 2 root wheel 512 Jan 21 2004 C drwxr-xr-x 2 root wheel 512 Jan 21 2004 be drwxr-xr-x 2 root wheel 512 Jan 21 2004 cs drwxr-xr-x 2 root wheel 512 Jan 21 2004 de drwxr-xr-x 2 root wheel 512 Jan 21 2004 en drwxr-xr-x 2 root wheel 512 Jan 21 2004 en_US drwxr-xr-x 2 root wheel 512 Jan 21 2004 es drwxr-xr-x 2 root wheel 512 Jan 21 2004 fr drwxr-xr-x 2 root wheel 512 Jan 21 2004 he drwxr-xr-x 2 root wheel 512 Jan 21 2004 it drwxr-xr-x 2 root wheel 512 Jan 21 2004 ru_RU drwxr-xr-x 2 root wheel 512 Jan 21 2004 sv drwxr-xr-x 2 root wheel 512 Jan 21 2004 uk drwxr-xr-x 2 root wheel 512 Jan 21 2004 uk_UA drwxr-xr-x 2 root wheel 512 Jan 21 2004 zh_CN How am I supposed to create the fi_FI locale? I was instructed to run 'localedef -ci fi_FI -f ISO_8859-1:1987 fi_FI', but it's not in OpenBSD-compatible form. I think I'll post a question about this to OpenBSD's ml. * Here's my locale.alias-file, /usr/local/share/locale/locale.alias, that's used by gettext: <http://www.pallokala.org/usr_local_share_locale_locale.alias>.
