I have no idea why somebody did that, probably a typo when working on
the code. I have committed the fix to CVS. To fix the issue in your
build, open src/compose.php, jump to line 746, you should see this:
$subject=str_replace('"' , "'", $subject);
Simply comment out the line. Thanks for the report.
