My email server supports just my wife and I and we use Squirrelmail as our
sole email client in order to have a consistent address book. I would
like to use Thunderbird for my mail client when I am at home, however we
need to have a common address book between Thunderbird and Squirrelmail so
that we don't have to keep adding or changing everything twice. The only
solution I've heard of is LDAP, however I'm not too sure how appropriate
it is for our situation. I think it may either be gross overkill or
simply not support the functionality in the manner I'd like. It seems to
be primarily used as a relatively static address list for a large group
with a single admin changing the addresses. How appropriate would it be
for personal use?

I'd like to be able to add and change address book information from either
client and use it just like the current address book. What would be the
best solution for this?

Thanks,
Bob C
