Thanks for taking the time to help,

Am I missing something here???? Outgoing mail does not go through my mail
server, per the Squirrelmail settings I use SMTP to connect to
mail.oponline.net (*NOT* sendmail) to send outgoing mail (as noted in all
of my messages concerning this problem).

And maybe this is where I am mistaken, but this is the same way that a MUA
such as Outlook is configured. e.g in outlook the outgoing mail server is
configured as SMTP mail.optonline.net.

SqMail is a MUA not an MTA (or am I missing something again?) Based on
what you all are telling me then I cannot use SqMail as an MUA unless it
exists on a machine with a Static IP, unless I want my messages to be
tagged as spam??? That doesn't seem right to me.

I use SqMail to remotely check/send mail on/from my home Linux machine,
surely I should be able to safely send mail DIRECTLY over SMTP without
being penalized for having a Dynamic IP address, othewise what is the
point, how many home users have a Static IP, 99% send e-mail though? If
MicroSh*t can create a MUA that sends mail from a dynamic IP via SMTP
surely the vastly superiour SQMail can perform the same function?

Thanks for your help,
JP
