This is sendmail, logging it's encrypted TLS conections to other
relays/clients. verify=FAIL just refers to not being able to verify the
certificate used by the other end.

These look like errors from your SMTP or IMAP server. Not something SM
would generate (I'm guessing).
As a guess I would say that somebody entered bad passwords when trying
to send/read email (depending on whether this is SMTP or IMAP). It could
be as simple as a few people have the wrong password setup in the MUA.
