Our school district has been using SquirrelMail on most of our high
school servers.� Recently we purchased an IBM Websphere Portal.�
However We have had allot of difficulties getting SquirrelMail to
communicate with IBM's IMAP server.
Symptoms we are
experiencing are:
- Right side panel *sometimes* give the
following error:
[ERROR : Connection dropped by imap-server.
Query: LSUB "" "*"]
- I am able to
log in and see the list of messages but reading messages takes way
over a minute to load the view page.� **IF** squirrelmail does display
message� it gives me an "FETCH" error with blank details.�
Most of the time now SquirrelMail does not view any messages.
- I am able to send messages and they appear in the
"INBOX.Sent" folder.� However I can not view the sent
message without having the above problems

squirrelmail server system is:
squirrelmail-1.4.3a
PHP
4.1.2
Apache/1.3.31
Linux 2.4.21 #1 SMP
Our IMAP
system appears to be as follows:
- IMAP server
(IBM-Lotus-Workplace-2.0-(20040906T1615))
- CAPABILITY IMAP4rev1
AUTH=PLAIN LITERAL+ UIDPLUS
