I have experienced the same problem with emails from a specific user
(see my previous post from Friday last week titled 'Odd problem with
HTML mail'. Since then I have tracked it down to what appears to be bad
handling of cid: references within the body of the email when they point
to non-existent parts. That's a lay-person interpretation of what's
happening as I don't fully understand how cid: urls are supposed to work
within an email. I presume they get resolved to other multipart sections
of the email that in my case aren't there, at least that I can
determine.
