Ok, checked a few more logs. My /var/log/httpd-error.log has:

[Fri Feb 4 11:05:04 2005] [notice] child pid 79956 exit signal Segmentation fault (11)
[Fri Feb 4 11:05:04 2005] [notice] child pid 79955 exit signal Segmentation fault (11)

It look's like it segfaults everytime someone tries to access SQ. Think this could be an apache problem?

Yeah, might be. More specifically, it might be PHP4.3.10. I've seen numerous reports of it causing segfaults (even saw it here). My solution was to upgrade to a newer snapshot of the stable series.

After turning on additional error handling in my php.ini, I saw some of this as well:

PHP Warning: Function registration failed - duplicate name - ctype_alnum in Unknown on line 0
PHP Warning: Function registration failed - duplicate name - ctype_alpha in Unknown on line 0
PHP Warning: Function registration failed - duplicate name - ctype_cntrl in Unknown on line 0
PHP Warning: Function registration failed - duplicate name - ctype_digit in Unknown on line 0
PHP Warning: Function registration failed - duplicate name - ctype_lower in Unknown on line 0
PHP Warning: Function registration failed - duplicate name - ctype_graph in Unknown on line 0
PHP Warning: Function registration failed - duplicate name - ctype_print in Unknown on line 0
PHP Warning: Function registration failed - duplicate name - ctype_punct in Unknown on line 0
PHP Warning: Function registration failed - duplicate name - ctype_space in Unknown on line 0
PHP Warning: Function registration failed - duplicate name - ctype_upper in Unknown on line 0
PHP Warning: Function registration failed - duplicate name - ctype_xdigit in Unknown on line 0
PHP Warning: ctype: Unable to register functions, unable to load in Unknown on line 0

These are the only errors I see.. still getting a blank page. Sessions are enabled, etc. Any more ideas?

Actually, now it's just a blank page. The connection does not drop.

Blank pages might indicate PHP errors. See item #3 here:

I am using Apache 1.3.27, SQ 1.4.4, and PHP 4.3.10, Fbsd 5.2.1.

After upgrading PHP via ports, I had to recompile and get rid of the configure option '--disable-all' which disabled sessions. Sq was complaining about not being able to use sessions. This fixed that problem, but created another one.

For some reason, when I try to connect to the apache vhost that hosts SQ, the connection is dropped. It is not the actual server, as other vhosts work fine, and this one did too before I got rid of the 'disable-all' configure option. Is there something in the SQ's code that makes it drop the connection?

Thanks
