I've asked (and apparently others have as well) also asked about this problem. I initially thought the problem was with view_as_html plugin, but it's not the case.
Basically, the view Printable version is missing the View Unsafe Images option, and/or is not retaining the previous setting selected.
I sent a bug report to the list (via Bug report plugin) but noone answered about it.

If I click on View Unsafe Images, then click on View Printable Version, WHY don't the images STILL show up? Shouldn't a switch be set that allows the printable version window to know that viewing unsafe images had been clicked?
Or, couldn't/shouldn't there be a button on the window next to Print and Close for View Unsafe Images again?
