Another approach (which I admit requires a bit of luck) is to configure your current program (which I presume is MS Outlook or Outlook Express) to connect to the IMAP account you plan to use with SM. Most IMAP-based mail programs let you have local folders and server-based folders (though they try their best to confuse you with terminology that obscures what they're doing).
