  This sounds like the server has generated an error, and just stopped
  sending data.  IE has a nice way of telling you "page not found" for
  pretty much everything, but you didn't mention browser, so I can
  only assume on that portion.  You also didn't mention anything about
  your setup...

  You might want to start by checking your logs, installed plugins,
  and php error reporting levels.
